Designing linear regulated power supply for 12V 1A

Design Challenge:

Designing linear regulated power supply for 12 Volt, 1Ampere .consider 230V,50Hz Main Supply

Theory:

Because of low noise, low Electro magnetic interference and easy to design linear power supply is often use in many applications.
A linear regulated power supply is same as unregulated linear power supply except that after smoothing we use regulator .

Applications:

• low noise amplifiers

• signal processing

• data acquisition - including sensors, multiplexers, A/D converters, and sample & hold circuits.

• automatic test equipment

• laboratory test equipment

• control circuits

• anywhere that excellent regulation and/or low ripple is required
